This position works in the Human Resources Department at our Tecumseh, KS production facility. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Flexible start time will be considered.

 

We make NatureFlex and Cellophane packaging films.  These are biodegradable and compostable products to help reduce plastic pollution around the world!  Since they are made from renewable wood pulp as a raw material, we essentially make transparent paper.  Check out the process here.

 

Compostable packaging is a rapidly expanding market.  As a result, Futamura is in the process of a major expansion and we are still growing.    We are looking for good people with a drive for advancement to come join our team.

Responsibilities

The Recruiting Coordinator position leads the recruiting process for manufacturing and production positions at the Tecumseh manufacturing plant.  Assists with recruiting for other positions as needed.

Duties include:

  • Reviews current position postings within the applicant tracking system and recommends changes as needed.
  • Reviews applicants within the applicant tracking system to identify candidates who meet the position requirements
  • Phone-screens candidates for basic qualifications
  • Communicates to candidates who are not selected for an interview
  • Arranges interview scheduling between applicants and hiring managers
  • Talks with hiring managers about individual candidates to determine if an offer is to be extended
  • Extends offers to select candidates and arranges and monitors post-offer background check and drug screening processes.
  • Communicates onboarding schedule to candidate, participants/presenters, and department leaders
  • Participates and presents information during onboarding/orientation activities
  • Assists with filing, projects and department objectives as needed

Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years in a recruiting role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with iCIMS applicant tracking system preferred
