This position works in our Engineering and Maintenance Department. 

 

We make NatureFlex and Cellophane packaging films.  These are biodegradable and compostable products to help reduce plastic pollution around the world!  Since they are made from renewal wood pulp as a raw material, we essentially make transparent paper.  Join us and we will show you how.

 

Compostable packaging is a rapidly expanding market.  As a result, Futamura is in the process of a major expansion with plans to increase our production by 50% in 2020.    We are looking for good people with a drive for advancement to come join our team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Coordinates with maintenance, engineering, production personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status, resources, and work planning issues.
  • Coordinates and performs planning, scheduling, and control activities for assigned proposals and programs.
  • Maintains work breakdown structures, schedules, documentation, and plans maintained and updated; explains requirements; identifies and resolves potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken; and generates reports and graphs that accurately measure progress and depict schedule status, performance, and trend analysis.
  • Tracks plans and schedules; tracks and communicates project requirements; and ensures the department’s commitments are met.
  • Recommends and records work assignments. Assignment may require consideration of availability, duration of assignment, skill sets, job classification, shift and preferences.
  • Organizes maintenance schedules to meet delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.
  • Assembling work packets ensuring compliance documents are prepared or updated, parts are available to complete the repair and qualified persons are available to complete the work.
  • Analyzes work order releases with respect to capacity planning, availability of qualified personnel and material/parts requirements.
  • Reviewing inventory levels, schedules and availability of parts and resources to meet repair needs within production schedules. Recommend changes to spare-part inventory levels as needed.
  • Reviews work in process to measure timely completion and assist with resolving obstacles.
  • Receives and reviews new work orders against current requirements and work in process using the maintenance scheduling system.
  • Releases routine work orders and preventive maintenance for daily/weekly execution.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School graduate
  • Ability to effectively listen to, read, and understand information; accurately retains and retrieves information; relays clear and concise information in both written and oral form.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel); strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a production planning/materials controls function or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with eMaintenance preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
